Bike to the Beach 2019

Once again, Jeff & Patti welcomed us to their lake place in Nevis! It was a warm & beautiful day. Great rides, great company, & of course great food!

We may have to consider a name change as biking is not required to enjoy the day!

Fall Hike 2018

Late October was almost too late to enjoy the fall colors but we found some at Interstate State Park (MN side)! The rain held off and cool temps made for a great afternoon of hiking and enjoying the views along the St. Croix.

It was fun to have Amy join us as we "met in the middle" (Amy was coming from Eau Claire)!

Through our surroundings and one another's company our reading from a traditional Jewish prayer came to life ..."In Your goodness you have made us able to hear the music of the world. The voices of loved ones reveal to us that You are in our midst. A divine voice sings through all creation."

Our First Adventure!

"Bike to the Beach" was held Saturday, June 23 in Nevis Minnesota.

Riders had the option to ride 20, 10, or 5 miles on the Heartland State Trail to reach the Amstrup family's place on Boulder Lake. We had a wide variety of ages participating & there was fun for all of them!

The phenomenal hospitality team prepared a delicious lunch buffet for all. After lunch, we had our choice of watersports including paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, or just relaxing on the pontoon.

We are grateful to have had such a gorgeous day & gracious hospitality. God is good!

With so many lakes & bike-friendly places around our state we were all thinking of where else we might try this kind of event in the future. If you have any ideas, share in the comments.
